Played hooky yesterday.  Soul satisfying as always.  Bosses are beginning to get annoyed but I can’t say as I care much.  Hospital is still in an uproar, Covid cases are down enough to pull anesthesia backups out of the ICU.  I am waiting patiently for some management to occur, but like all bureaucrats, what is the reality is waffle, stall, quibble, and CYA.  Nothing ever really gets done.

Oh well, I only have around five months left should current conditions not veer too far out of the expected.  I am trying to develop a laissez-faire attitude and not have any ownership in the changes and the nonsense.  Come in, perform in a nominally adequate manner, come home.

Y’all ought to head over to Ugo’s place and read his last couple of pieces on “exterminations”.  Can’t say that he is wrong, but can’t say that he is right.  I am thinking that that man is plumb bilious of late.  But I am working on a response piece to be posted here in the future.
