Dilutions

Saturday morning on an three day weekend.

A three day weekend you ask?  Why because I am going to take a mental health day on Monday (for a headache I have decided) and let the shitballs that have managed themselves into a corner just swing.

So today is brewing and whiskey making.  In honor of the epidemic, I am breaking out a too-early dilution of my "barrel proof" and diluting it down.  This is the main gallon jug that is the aging barrel in my process.  I age at around 140 proof (70%) so now I am considering the dilution process and the addition of new EtOH to the "barrel" for the next round of aging.

Tomorrow is brewing.  My apartment level brewery is being strained under quarantine.  I am strongly considering purchasing a 32 pound carboy of liquid malt extract for hoarding purposes.  I have 8 ounces of cascade hops.  So what I am thinking is having this become eight 3-gallon batches of beer.

Other than that, not to much this shut-in weekend.  Do a little baking, do a little cleaning, do a little laundry.  Rest.

Here is (precisely) what Dr. Deborah Birx, the White House response coordinator for the US Coronavirus Task Force, said about President Trump on 3/26: “He is so attentive to the scientific literature and the details and the data, and I think his ability to analyze and integrate data that comes out of his long history in business has really been a real benefit during these discussions about medical issues.”

The next day, a council representing more than 800,000 doctors across the U.S. signed a letter imploring President Trump to reverse his call for businesses to reopen by April 12.

Apparently, Dr. Birx is not familiar with Trump’s long history in business.
