Went over to Vantucky for a nice Indian Lunch (I can't get enough Naan) with an old friend.  I love P to no end, but he always gets offended by things that he has no control over.  And he rants.  Sometimes the rants are entertaining, sometimes not.  This particular rant was in the "roll my eyes" category. He was all hot and bothered about how the Chinese computer program was interfering with our good Murcan computer program. 

Let's talk about AI.  AI is the nerd community's effort at giving management a way to replace administrative/bullshit jobs with a computer.  All the hoopla about "intelligence" is about doing a job cheaper than a similarly unintelligent human can do the job. These kind of jobs are referred to as "Bullshit" jobs which are embedded throughout the bloated mess of American Industry. 

AI is going to hit the "personnel" departments of America like a tornado.  Customer service is going to be decimated.  Telemarketers everywhere are on notice. 

The advent of what is laughably referred to as AI is there to take jobs away.  The rich will get richer, the poor will get poorer.  Best figure out how to get a job where you are actually useful.
