An Exercise in frog boiling

I am just now digesting what could be the changes heading our way.

Trumpy is definitely fucking around with peoples rice bowls. I can't for the life of me figure out why the dumb bastard wanted to be President, but he has gotten the prize back and I think that he will be around as successful as he was during his first performance (once you figure out that the office requires a performance artist, things start getting clearer).

I liken what is happening to the old canard about a frog in a pot. What we are looking at is the political class arguing over "Flattening the Curve". The denizens of the subclass that has held sway for the past 30+ years have gotten used to the dial on the burner being set so that the temperature in the pot is going up. Dumbfuck Trump wants to turn the temperature down so that it goes up at a slower pace. He has given an soapbox to the fuckwads that have the temerity to suggest that the dial can be turned down even farther, but they are probably just a bunch of hand waving to distract people.

The handwaving and the "policy" proposals are just a means to distract the press and the opposition from the antics of folks trying to keep more than of what they perceive as their fair share. But one always has to remember that the opposition is just a different bunch of folks trying to keep more of what they perceive as their fair share.

But, this is just a low level peek at a system that keeps the bulk of its behavior hidden. I have little or no unbiased and factual data to go on and thus far, my track record for predictions is more akin to the record of the Bears rather that that of the lions.
