I am getting disgusted with the flow of cheese and tripe that is coming out of the media and its government branch (it is becoming increasingly clear to me that the media is the dog and the government is what wags).

I think that the altercation on the South Russian Steppes is a huge mess with lying being the order of the day and no one who really knows what the fuck is going on. But at the confluence of cranky old men, self-esteem, the internet, and the Dunning-Kruger effect we have the abortion of the news cycle and the blogosphere going into overdrive.

I am seriously thinking about going to a once a week look at the news rather than my current semi-obsessive fixation on the “next thing”. I can’t do anything about it, the powers that be could give fuck one about my opinion, and right now history is being made and all I can do is ride with the flow. But I have to remember that history is written by the victors, and right now we really don’t know who that is.

So since most of what I read is history, and we don’t know who the victor is going to be, I will back off from the current fantasy world of the Ukraine and download World of Warcraft and immerse myself for a couple of hours a day in an elaborately constructed fantasy world of a different sort. Hell, maybe I’ll head down to the pot shop across Mcloughlin and get the supplies to smoke some dope.

Might be more useful than watching the shit happening elsewhere.
