Impressionism / George Henry/ River Landscape by Moonlight

Housekeeping day.  Laundry, distilling, cidermaking, and baking.  Think that I’ll even try to vacuum.

Gather your dry ingredients and mix everything together well.

• 1-1/2cups oatmeal
• 3/4 cups flour
• 3/4 cups ground spent malt*
• 1/2 cup buttermilk powder
• 3 teaspoons baking powder
• 2/3 cup brown sugar
• 3/4 cup raisins
• 3/4cup sunflower seeds
• 1/4 cup black sesame seeds
• 1 teaspoon Cinnamon

• 2 eggs, lightly beaten
• 2 teaspoons vanilla
• 1/4 cup corn oil
• 1-1/2 cups water
• 1/4 cup whisky

*   When I brew, there is the spent grains that are used to make the wort that I hate to throw away.  So I stick it in a big roasting pan and dry it out in the oven over the course of a couple of days.  When it is dry/dry/dry I grind it up in an old coffee grinder and use it as fiber/protein in baking.
