 Vasily Perov: Troika Apprentice Workmen Carrying Water

Spent a couple hours before I left town getting Bessie
(the 1999 Chrysler Town and Country) cleaned and serviced  after her spending the last nine months in the neglectful hands of the younger.  She is still a good girl.  She is now clean and running like a top.  Gotta go and get two door handles replaced, but that is easily done and Zach needs the business to support his shiny new electric lifts.  Also might need to take her in to Les Schwab for a checkup of the running gear.

I have mixed feeling about the return of the vehicle.  I am thinking about converting her to a camper-type rig in the not-too-unlikely event that I will someday live "in a van, down by the river".  I will attempt to use minimally and sparingly.  I think that 250 miles/month or less might be a good target.  It will be nice to  not have to deal with the younger's oh-so-busy schedule.

Spent time with Mike and Joe and Mark.  Always a good thing, some are just cruising along, some are trying to figure out the gifts of getting old, some are brushing up on their curmudgeon chops.  All are doing a combinations of all three at the same time.

Yesterday was lying down in bed the entire day.  Back rebelled against 16+ hours in pickup trucks driving around added to three nights of sleeping on a shitty couch that I always insist on sleeping on when visiting J&B.  Lots of ibuprofen and stretching have reduced it to manageable levels, but I am still getting zingers if I move too quickly;
