Now, this is going to piss off you Anglos, but shit, you gotta start being realistic.
Hong Kong and Israel just ain't worth getting into a pissing match over. Everyone is trying to act as though these entities are sacred to us here in the West. But truth is, both of these entities are misbegotten spawn of bad political decisions, guilt, and greed.
I would hope that everyone will take a moment to remember that Hong Kong's status as independent from China was extracted at cannon-point during the Opium Wars. You remember that don't you, when the British Government sent warships to make certain that their fucking scum bag "merchants" had a free hand selling opium to an oppressed and impoverished populace in an "empire" that didn't quite deserve the title. I think El Chapo would very much approve of such a diplomatic intitiative. Fuck the Brits and their grandiose feelings of superiority. Fuck the asshole elite in Hong Kong that use the attempted "color revolution" so lovingly put together by the State Department to extend their oligarchical privilege.
Israel is being controlled by a right wing mess that has more in common with the Republic of Gilead than any reasonable government. Their land was given to them as a guilt trip post World War Two (I think that they should have been given Bavaria) without the permission of the folks that had been living there for the past couple of millenia. The Israelis have been ethnic-cleansing the place for years and probably run the world largest concentration camp in Gaza. They are armed to the teeth and crazy. They ain't worth fighting for.
The West is losing it's shit. I think that it will continue to do so, In the words of Saint Jimmy.
