Trying a new thing at work.  Just doing my job and staying in my lane.  So far, it seems a little odd, but I think that I can work with it.  I can do my job and do it well.  I can't save the world or make people what they aren't.

Today's Screed

I think that I can understand the Orangeman's current drive to kiss up to the Norkies.  To me, it makes complete sense.  Look, like it or not, the Norkies are close enough and can cause enough damage that actually going after them in a military sense has no logic whatsoever.   They have nothing to lose and Souther's have a lot to lose and if we attack, the Norkies hatred of Japan (who were complete and utter fuckheads in the not that recent past) might get a dose of radioactivity lobbed at them.  So the "coalition of the willing" just ain't happening there buckaroo.

Nope, in a way, Kim Jong Un (KJU) is a perfect complement to Trumpy.  Trump can achieve success there and he knows it.  KJU is just looking for a normalization of the autocratic regime and a limited reintegration into the world economy.   Moon Jae-In (MJI) is a smart manipulative fuck that has distanced himself far enough from American control to allow him to guide Trump. 

Look, in an odd way, the Norkies, like Cuba, provide a not that good a look at how societies will need to go in the not to distant future.  The long-term shunning of these two regimes have allowed them to develop a system that can operate on an stunningly small amount of oil.  This will be the way of all things in the future. 

What the Norkies and Cuba do for us is serve as a test bed for reduced energy inputs.  If these two regimes can be allowed limited return to the world economy, they might be able to develop low energy models that will show us the way and a target for our reduction of energy use.

The most difficult part will be for KJU and his counterpart in Havana to control the influx.  I have a sneaking hunch that what is desired by the fuckheads in the military-industrial complex is a compliant new source of cheap labor to exploit making gee-gaws for overfed Americans.  Nope, if the folks on the other side of the table are smart, they will offer a peace treaty, a reduction in their army, freezing the nuclear program at it's current 5-10 warhead level, a big push making small, efficient gas engines for agriculture, and the dismantling of the oil embargo.
