A New Woodpile
Dec. 24th, 2018 07:00 amSo, as I continue along my merry way of pulling bigdata’s claws out of me, I noticed yet another thing that I am having problems with.
The woodpile is gone. I always kind of relied on keeping the drafts queued up in the blogger interface, but I can’t really do that any more.
Google is insidious. They made it all easy one stop, no brainer to do this simple act of publishing something on the internet. All of this for the simple price of going through everything you read and write looking like the way you wanted and stilted. The ease of making a decent-looking page was made easier, but everything kinda looked the same, kinda like off-the rack stuff you wear. Originality can only be constrained to the combinations, not the basics.
So, what I am thinking is that the woodpile has to become local, so LibreOffice Writer is the new woodpile. Write the document and then export it as an HTML file and then cut-and-paste the piece from the woodpile. It will take a little while for me to work out the template so that things look the same, but that is just a function of practice
This post is the first experiment.
