Why do people think it was over
Feb. 4th, 2018 09:05 amLook, the problem going on with the country is the same problem that I had to go through with my family when I was a kid. We are broke and going deeper into the hole.
The bond market for US government securities is a case in point.
The 115th congress did us no good whatsoever. But in their defense, there was nothing that they could do. The economy is a wreck. if they started cutting enough to live within our means, the whole damn thing would go down like a rock. If you start cutting what little there is going to the little people, you will be courting a popular revolt. If you cut the funding to the military, you will be chancing a coup and a junta.
When I was growing up, one could always tell what time of the month it was by what we ate. First of the month, steaks and roast. Mid month, chicken and lots of mashed potatoes. End of the month pancakes and polenta.
I am thinking that we are moving out of the chicken phase and moving into the polenta phase.
