So, I am trying to work out a new circle of friends here in the land of hipsters.  Harder to do than it appears.  Now, no one here appears to be totally opposed to the idea, but as folks in their prime, they have a certain amount of self-absorption and personal goal-meeting (read here: Lots) which keeps them at arms length.  No one is certain that they want to make the mad effort to cultivate a new set of relationships at this stage of their life.

Can't say as I really blame them.  

But the truth of the matter is that such a thing needs be done. So, I will be going through the forms and working through the process in the next year of so, but it isn't the simple natural thing that it was in the long ago when I made my current circle of long-time friends.  I will have quite a bit of problems trying to explain my current persona/position in terms that folks can understand and not report me to the authorities for being a heretic.
