One of the annoyances about reading shit out there on the internet is the mixed nature of the “decent” news aggregators out there.  Now, this isn’t a new phenomenon.  I have always relied on folks out there with time on their hands to breathlessly troll through the morass of contradictory and vacuous “information” out there on the superhighway to come up with a decent set of things to read.  

Now none of these sites are perfect.  All of them come equipped with a set of axes to grind and heartfelt and tragically wrong beliefs.  They troll the internet to find driblets of interest, but really only try to find something that appears to validate previously held beliefs.  I can’t remember ever reading a post where the writer basically said “I was wrong and this is how”.

A lot of time is spent by everyone writing to show that particular writer as the holder of all truths.  Just ain’t so Joe.  I tend to think of this as the real tenor of the internet across all subdomains of thought presented.  It appears to be that it is a variation of the mental/ethical dominance needs of folks out there in the world.  If you ain’t a parishioner, you need to be a preacher.  Most folks out there writing day to day are mostly trying to figure out how to get you to think their way.  

Please, for the love of God Montresor, don’t try to agree with me all that often when I write this shit.  I am not trying to tell you what to think, I am trying to figure out what I think.
