A Utilitarian Approach

I spent too much time in the car yesterday. What started out as a simple fishing trip got complicated because my buddy has never been able to plan anything worth shit. So I ended up about sixty miles from home, in the pouring rain, with a fishing fanatic questioning my manhood and perseverance because I said fuck it. Had to gas up the van and that running $86.00 put me in a foul mood when coupled with everything else.
So today is a stay-at-home. Gonna make some polenta and some chili for lunch the next couple of days. Might head down to the WalMart for some cleaning supplies as I have been lax this week and the place is not looking the way that it should.
Getting used to a writing schedule. I am thinking that I will only be actually writing four days a week, the goal being that I will finish one chapter (I try to keep them around 1-2 thousand words) on Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Publishing says with one last check will be on Tuesdays and Fridays. Saturday will be for editing and organization.
We’ll see how it goes. I am certain that there are writers out there who will be happy to tell me how I am approaching it all wrong.
Keep it to yourself please should you read this. No one says that I will get it right this early in the game.
