Mikalojus Konstantinas Ciurlionis/ The Demon
Everywhere and always demonic powers lurk in the dark, waiting for the moment when man is weak; when of his own volition he leaves his place in Creation, as founded for him by God in freedom; and when he yields to the forces of evil, he separates himself from the powers of a higher order; after voluntarily taking the first step, he is driven on and on to the next and to the next, at a furiously accelerating rate."

SImply taking time in
the morning to start out on the right foot is one of those
real "affordable luxuries" that most folks just don't have a
clue how to handle. Now, I am not bitching at them or even
casting aspersions, just kinda sadly stating facts. I should
know, I am just getting into the habit.
When I say starting out
on the right foot, I mean just taking a small piece of time,
sitting quietly, and trying to shut down the internal chatter
of your brain/consciousness/spirit and just giving yourself
time for the engine to warm up.
I never did bother with this much when I was a go-getter. Now that my workaday world is over I almost accidentally stumbled onto this in the scramble to find a internal purpose to replace the gap left when I exited the external purpose of the workaday world. Wasn't time, and truthfully didn't seem to be important at the time. I might have to recant that theory. Now don't worry about it, I am never going to be all that profoundly spiritual, and I think that some folks will accuse me of being spiritual, with its focus on a sort of worship and modified virtue signalling, and will sneer at my lack of faith in their prescriptions and proscriptions, but I don't think they and I are talking about the same thing.
The thing/consciousness
that appears to tag along wherever I drag this set of old
bones needs time to get settled before going out. Taking that
time is a luxury. The thing/consciousness needs some time to
adjust to coming back into the mundane. My advice is to give
it time to do so. I think that the choices made after
allowing this time of adjustment seem to work a little better
and aren't so bothered by "demons".
