Morning and sipping coffee.  Gonna be fairly busy this weekend, gotta clear out Bessie and get her ready for travel, gotta go over to a buddies house and talk ordinance, gotta do something about the SW corner of the apartment, gotta go buy healthy food for another week of dieting, tomorrow is Sunday so a segue over the the laundry room is in order.  Nuff said about the mundane.   

Appears to me that the “diplomatic” folks running around the world talking trash for the Biden Administration are trying to whip up a war.  Why they would want to do this makes no sense to anyone with a lick of sense.  Biden’s minions seem to be the usual flavor of chickenhawks and war profiteers that coalesce in Washington, but for some reason they think we should be leader of the pack.

Folks, like it or not, denying that we live in a multipolar world and other countries are to do our bidding is an idea well past its due date.  Threatening with “all out thermonuclear heck” is at very best an empty threat and at worst a sign of madness.  Wanting to go toe to toe with Russia or China or Iran on their own turf is a sign that folks haven’t been paying attention and seem to have forgotten that the last time we “won” was thirty years ago.  Truth be told, can we say that we “won” that war when we are still sitting there huddled down in firebases and shifting our forces into Syria as a retreat.

Maybe they are just woofing for the domestic audience.  I have a feeling that the PR folks in old Joe’s administration are of a singularly low opinion of the general population and are playing a “wag the dog” kind of game here.  They think that the folks who are going to fight the war will go willingly and that the families that provide the fighters will respond eagerly to propaganda ran on Duck Dynasty and it’s peers.

I think that a much more telling piece of information is that the American Legion has gone on record against the “forever war” and the use of AUMF’s as a slimey way to spend American Lives.
