Well, didn’t get the job. Such is life, I tend to think the fact that these folks are not unintelligent and can see a old geezer moving as not necessarily a good thing for their control of their little principality. Such is life.
Bessie is in the shop again. Since she is 22 years old, this is to be expected. The original equipment fuel pump went out so I am thinking that I got dang good service out of that particular part, thank you very much.
Still loafing at home for today and tomorrow. I am pretty certain that I will take today as a cleaning day as it looks as though I will be here a while longer and such maintenance has been in abeyance of late. Doing this will probably be good for me, it will remind me that this really is a nice little place and how an hour or so of business can make it sparkle.
Screed
Holmes: “To the curious incident of the dog in the night-time.”
Gregory: “The dog did nothing in the night-time.”
Holmes: “That was the curious incident.”
Right now I am suspicious of what is not happening. Look, fuckwad 1.0 didn’t do that much to steer us out of the mess we are in. But fuckwad 2.0 doesn’t seem to be doing much of anything. Things seem to be unravelling a bit quicker with less fanfare.
I realize that this might be a function of my normal eeyore-ish outlook on life, but truth be told, with all the media arrayed against him to point out just how we were going to get screwed over, fuckwad 1.0 was pretty much neutered and didn’t get much done.
Not hearing anything substantial about the antics of fuckwad 2.0 concerns me. I have to give the possibility that he is steering us out of the mess a chance, but truth be told, I also buy the occasional lottery ticket.
