So John Michael asking interesting question over at his blog.
"What are you doing"
I think this is shockingly simple question that gives shockingly complex results
What am I doing
Wow.
I guess the this blog is to tell you everyday what I do but when you really think about it what I do is more complicated than when I tell you everyday.
I am making all the small changes needed to exit the workaday world. Maybe exit isn't the needed verb...maybe disentangle would be more appropriate. Now, looking back I have been doing this for years. The Rona has now offered me a means of testing out the downgrades and changes to my life required for further progress in this area. It is just a lot of simple things tied together and a lot of cord cutting to things that I thought were necessary.
But the industrial world is a seductive thing. Lots of little things to distract you and make you want to go back. I have severed a lot of ties, but there are a lot of ties that remain. I have to figure out which one of these should survive to the other side, to the equilibrium that will exist on the other side of this punctuation.
I will go out this weekend and figure out the plan for the 16 square feet and four hanging pots that will constitute my "garden" this year. I am thinking a "simply salad" space for hanging pots of tomatoes and peppers and a couple of ground pots for lettuce and cucumbers.
But the main thing I am doing is trying to locate a path through this strange new world that has plopped itself down in our lives.
