Writing on New Years Day and cleaning the house. Tried a little baking gluten free. I got a lot to learn.
Since I put up the big prediction top ten list, I am just working around the house, for some reason, the idea of cleaning the house a little but and cooking and such, I thought that I would spend a bit of time writing. For some odd reason, this seems to make me happy, pottering about.
Now, I think that this year, I will assign specific themes to specific days. One of the days, I am thinking Sundays, will spend some time throwing down the framework for my after-factory add-on stories that I intend to bolt onto JMG's "Weird of Hali" world.
So: my first idea for a theme is that of a student at one of the Universities that is mentioned in the JMG books. I am thinking that the one in Oklahoma that he mentioned somewhere will be the ticket. What I am thinking is that the protagonist will be a Native American (don't know why that word bugs me so. Maybe I need to do more research on tribal name in Oklahoma.
The other option would be to have the protagonist come from Oregon. That way I could slyly connect the Jennie as an undergrad with a local diety where I would be able to have a hhuge rain of fun with deity creation and outfitting.
So, Oregon State it may well be. Corn Valley is just down the road with a couple of McMinamens to wet my parched throat.
I am thinking that the protagonist comes out of the tribe around Joseph. This will give me ample reason to check out Imnaha. I still remember that as the end of a long road. Plus it would manage to provide a variant of the dingey run down town's where he populated the novels, because the towns out here in the West are pretty beat up as well.
Woke up in the morning and went to cast the I Ching. Well, I appear to have misplaced my coins and sheet. This kinda concerns me. I cannot for the life of me figure out what I did with it. So no cast this morning, Minor thing, but I have a hunch that it will bug me all day and I will have to do a major straightening up to do to find it and will find it in a location that screams "what the hell were you thinking?".
