Paranoia Freakout
Jan. 4th, 2018 07:07 amI am loving on the sudden revelation that the computer chip hardware itself is insecure.
Really? Just figuring that out?
Look, basic security note: If you want to keep your thoughts private, do it in pen and ink on paper. Do it in private conversations. Keep it to your fucking self.
Hell, if you are super paranoid, sit down with a glass of red wine, two sheets of paper, a piece of carbon paper and a deck of cards. Hand the carbon of the exercise to your correspondent and use the mail.
BIOS was never that secure. EUFI blew any chance of personal security out of the door. Minix is imbedded throughout supporting chips in little off-flavor ways that insure that the dedicated snoops can get in.
Now all the sudden you are irritated because the CPU is compromised? That is like claiming you are a virgin because you only had oral sex.
Now the real irony, anything that you do that the snoopy are interested in is probably there in living color on your Facebook or Twitter page.
Gimme a Break
