I suppose that road trips will stay infrequent.  Visiting a nice little ghost town with a nice hotel was a good thing, but long rides in a car wasn't a good thing.  It is probably going to take a couple of days to work the kinks out of my back and legs.

When the Outback needed to be replaced, we looked at a few cars and narrowed it down to a Jetta or a Ford CMax. Kevin drove the Jetta, which meant I had to get in the back seat so the saleswoman could do her thing. It reminded me of when my mom chose the LeMans over the Mustang in 1969. In both cases the back seat was far too uncomfortable.

I can imagine what the last trip to Spokane would have been like had we not chosen the Ford. I was crippled for a day at any rate.

My culinary mentor, insofar as I had one, recovered from the closure of his 20-year-old restaurant in LaGrande by taking over the food at a similar hotel in (I think) Baker City.
