degringolade I am trying not to get too caught up in my episodic paranoia. But sometimes it just seems like a good idea.
The shenanigans in a place 11.5 time zones away from me may well turn out to be unpleasant (obviously, I am hoping that this will be minimal, but as time goes by, this increasingly seems not to be the case.
In the prepper past, folks always talked about lifeboats. I always thought about these folks and their less-genteel cousins, the survivalists as sorta crazy. The nature of the artificial environment that sustains the majority of human life is built around the teetering,tottering edifice of industrial civilization and that particular boat has been taking water for a while now and the efforts at bailing seem not to working all that well.
I suppose that I have a certain amount of luxury (??) in that a while ago I took some advice from a hippy archdruid and decided to "collapse now, avoid the rush". So right now I am shaving away wants to get down to the core of needs
