Shine of the Moon
Jan. 20th, 2020 03:45 pmNot much to say today. Just drove home from Kingston with a stop in the 'Tucky to see the young men. Came Home and unloaded the vehicle, loaded the wash into the still, and got set up for tomorrow's work. Gotta bottle the current batch of beer for the Equinox, then make a batch of cider for the fermentation run the next two weeks. Also have to set up a two gallon wash for next week's distillation run.
Bought a 25 pound bag of cane sugar. That will yield about 12 liters of stripper run around 100 proof. When I do the second distillation, I will end up with around eight liters of 140 proof to go on oak and wait around for a couple of years. I do make good whiskey.
Gonna hang out while watching the still. Screed isn't in the works, so this update is it.
I always appreciate my trips to the north. I will spend sometime tonight working on defining the characteristics of the the Great One named Waude. I think you will like him.
