Been in a quandary of late.  Have to keep my mouth shut because heretical thoughts are most unwelcome in today’s brave new world.  The quandary is simply that I really have no idea of what is happening in the world.  Zero.  

The sources available to me are hopelessness tainted by politics and its companion in evil, money.  I think that we are operating in a very limited information system, where the information being presented to us is not without an axe to grind.  I can’t for the life of me figure out what folks are trying to say and how they are slanting the information that they are presenting, all I know is that I cannot make hide nor hair out of what is presented.

It appears that everyone is gaming the statistics to prove a preconceived notion.  Cherry-picking studies is a common game now.  Withholding results is ubiquitous.  Pharma companies data is more a figment of the marketing team than the scientists (even worse, the scientists now happily work for the marketing team).

All that I can do is watch warily and try to distill some essence of truth out of a hopelessly polluted and noisy propaganda operation.  As it stands now, I am not doing especially well.  

I guess what bothers me the most is the folks screaming at me from both sides, chastising me for not really believing what either side is telling me.  Reminds me of my long-time truism. “If you are in the middle ground, that just offers both sides a clear shot at you.
