Circling back.  

We are where we were when I joined the Army over 45 years ago.  Just lost a war we should have never been in.  Left behind folks who trusted us.  Yep we’ve been here before.

Blaming old Joe for this.  Nope.  People blamed Nixon, but the fault started with Kennedy, ran heavy with Johnson and Nixon just pulled the plug.  Same as Old Joe, just finishing walking away has its own hazards.  .

We are not in a good place right now.  But I think that Old Joe ought to spend some time with a glass of scotch, walking around the White House, looking at the portraits of his predecessors and asking them questions like Dick did.  The questions will probably be about the problems he inherited, not the ones that he created or were created for him.

Nope, folks gotta remember that there aren’t that many plotlines in the play.  The one we are playing now looks kinda familiar to me.  The only difference here is that Nixon didn’t need to cheat in the election and old Joe most certainly did.  

This isn’t gonna be fun to watch.  Other than being young, I can’t really remember all that much that I enjoyed during those days.  I think that part will remain the same.
