Not sure if you saw this I sent earlier because it went to yesterday's post. The subject was "Mr. Moreno Almost Gets it Right". If so, disregard; all I can add, is that I subsequently learned from another news article that Mr. Moreno belongs to a Facebook group that is interested in train wrecks.
A train engineer working at the Port of Los Angeles has been charged with stealing a locomotive and intentionally derailing it in an attempt to hit the USNS Mercy.
The Mercy arrived in Los Angeles last week to provide an additional 1,000 hospital beds to address the COVID-19 pandemic. Eduardo Moreno, an engineer at the port, told authorities he found the boat "suspicious" and drove a train toward the ship because "people don't know what's going on here," the Los Angeles Times reports.
To sum up:
1) Mr. Moreno was correct - people did not know what was going on - with regard to him and the locomotive, but not with regard to the ship. Nearly everyone has seen the ship on the news.
2) Mr. Moreno was correct about everything going on in the world yesterday, except the ship.
