Tough time dragging my ass out of bed today.  It is never easy, today was especially onerous. 

I think that Saturday will be my Christmas shopping day.  Little presents and cards will be the order of the day.  Stop in at a couple of bars for some Christmas cheer and I might be able to get over the Christmas grumpiness.  Truthfully, Since Saturday is Yule and the Solstice, I think that I will mentally forego the "Christmas" portion of the holiday and celebrate the Yule instead, then just spend a Morning with the family on Christmas.

I guess that the giving of gifts is more important to me than the giving of gifts, I got pretty much everything a person can need, and truthfully, it seems that most of gifts are little things that end up under the category of clutter.  I do try to give gifts that are appreciated.  Chocolate and Wine and events are how I propose to go this year. 

I do hope for the case of Spam though.

OK, now that the House has decided to throw the big impeachment mud ball at Trump, I am curious as to what the fuck they plan to do next?  Unless I have suddenly lost my grasp of the composition of the Senate and the requirements of the Constitution, I can't see what this accusation does.  Because remember, first and foremost, articles of impeachment are just accusation.  The Senate sits in judgement with Chief Justice Roberts deciding.

I am kinda hoping that Mitch McConnell shows some common sense and just goes with the opening arguments and then a vote.  Let's get this damn thing over with. 

I am still astonished that the Dem's actually went through with this climax to their extended hissy fit.  I give them less than 5% chance of getting a conviction.  The reason that I think/hope that McConnell will go with the "one and done" option is that, should they actually hold a trial, the stink of Washington politics will sufficiently poison the political/social arena to cause even greater damage to a fragile body politic.  Always remember, if there is a trial, the Defense/Republicans will get to ask a lot of questions and the Democrats are probably dirtier than the Republican.

And that my friends, is very hard to pull off.
