For what I consider obvious reasons, I am beginning to get a little concerned about the way that things are going here in the land of the free.

Now, be aware that I am wishing and hoping with all my might that my concerns are baseless. I have settled into a nice little groove that suits me just fine. I even think that I will have a pretty god chance to weather safely any weirdness that could come my way. Right now, the pretty low probability of badness happening seems to have a slight upward slope and the oligarchs that run the country seem to be losing patience and talking more trash than usual.

That being said, let's talk about that dude "anonymous" who posts everywhere there is a comment section. In the past, anonymous did nothing but piss me off. That was because anonymous has a pretty strong possibility of being a rude and boorish butthead. So I painted with a broad brush and usually deprecated any comment by this fellow.

So I am thinking of donning the anonymous moniker when I comment anywhere. Granted, the folks that frighten me can probably backtrack via IP address to find me, but through the magic of VPN and public hotspots, I can at least lead them on a merry chase should I offend.

Not going to act on this paranoia anytime soon, but the thought is in my head. Maybe I will do some research on security and get back to you later.
